Grow into something bigger
The position
Arena & Grounds Caretaker
We need one good person to help take care of our arena and grounds. It starts at two days a week. But we are a growing outfit — the arena, the horses, the barns, and 3,000 acres of cattle country. For the right person, this turns into full-time work and a real career.
The opportunity
Most places hire someone to mow and leave it at that. We are looking for someone to grow with us. There is a lot of room here. Take a look at where this can go.
01
Right now
You learn the place. Mowing, dragging the arenas, keeping the barns clean, keeping the equipment running. We show you how we like things done. You get paid for every hour you work.
02
In a few months
By now you know this place better than most, and you run your own list without being told. As we take on more horses, more boarders, and events, we can add days and more days means a bigger check.
03
Down the road
We are building something here. More horses, more boarders, and events on the calendar. The person who knows every inch of this property is the person we want in charge of it. That could be you.
04
If you want it
The arena and the horses are one part of what we do. We also run cattle. Checking pastures, working fence, moving and sorting. If you take to this work and want to learn that end of it, we will teach you. That is a career all by itself.
We would rather train one person and keep them for ten years than hire a new one every spring. If that sounds good to you, keep reading.
3,000
Acres of cattle country
That is how much land we run cattle on, on top of the arena, the pens, and the horses. This place is bigger than the job you are applying for. That is the point.
The job
If you have worked as a groundskeeper, a ranch hand, or on a landscaping crew, most of this will look familiar. Here are some of the tasks you can expect. They are already written down in a custom app we built for our program, easy to pull up on your phone, with notes on how we want each job done. You will never have to guess.
Tasks are on a repeating schedule. Two days a week covers it today. As we grow, so does the opportunity.
Why work here
Every task and project is tracked and managed in our app with notes on how we like it done. There’s no guesswork. Your schedule is set ahead of time.
You clock in and out on your phone. You can see your hours, your expected pay, and what you were paid before. Payday does not move.
You do not have to know everything on day one. If you want to learn to run a piece of equipment, we will teach you.
Two days can become five. You can take on more responsibility with the arena, the horses, and the cattle. We would much rather move you up than post this job again.
Who we are looking for
You do not need a resume. You do not need extensive horse experience. You do not need to know how to run every machine. Groundskeeper, landscaping, farm, ranch, or maintenance work all carry over here. If you are willing to learn and you work hard, we want to hear from you.
Apply
Five questions we need, then anything else you want to share. It takes about three minutes. We answer every single one within two business days.
